In partnership with allcove Palo Alto, Mekong Community Center’s Wellness Team celebrated Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month by hosting a Vietnamese Culture Night with fun learning activities, arts and crafts, and delicious food. The Wellness Team enjoyed connecting with youth community members and staff about the origin of Tết (Vietnamese Lunar New Year), Vietnamese zodiac, traditional clothing/food, and making beautiful lanterns/red envelope wishes to decorate the center’s tree with. The team believes that collaboration between various organizations is vital in helping to strengthen communities.
